Black Cod Crusted with Sesame Seeds

Sesame seeds are not only packed with nutrients, they taste great and give this fish dish a wonderful crunchy texture.

Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cod filet (4-6oz)
  • 1 Tbsp black sesame seeds (white if you don’t have black)
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 c fresh cilantro
  • Greens or veggies of choice

Directions:

  1. Squeeze lime juice over cod. Spread sesame seeds on a plate and dip cod in seeds to coat.
  2. Sauté in olive oil or avocado oil on low until cooked through, 5-8 minutes.
  3. Drizzle sesame oil over fish and sprinkle sea salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve over greens and top with cilantro and a squeeze of lime.  Add more vegetables to this lunch or a drizzle of Tamari if you desire!
