Fruit Free Pesto Sauce

Pesto is not only delicious and versatile, but it’s packed with nutrients thanks to the fresh basil, garlic and healthy fats.

Serves: 2


  • ¼ c walnut oil
  • ¼ c walnuts or macadamia nuts
  • 2 c fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¼ c grated parmesan
  • Pinch of sea salt (to desired taste)
  • Water to desired consistency


  1. Place all ingredients except water and oil in a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend and while blades are running, slowly pour walnut oil through shoot. You will probably need to stop & push contents down into bottom of blender. Add water or more oil to desired consistency.
  3. Stir into pasta, spread on toast, use as a salad dressing. Get creative! Save the leftovers in ice cube treys and freeze them.
