Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 3-4

Ingredients:

  • 1 can drained and rinsed chickpeas
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil, walnut oil OR even nitrite free bacon grease!
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Sea salt to taste (appx.½ tsp)
  • Cumin, onion powder, chili powder, OR your favorite seasoning… experiment!

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Gently dry chickpeas after rinsing between dish towels. The drier they are, the crispier the outcome.
  3. Drizzle oil and seasonings into a bowl or ziplock bag and toss chick peas into mixture. Coat chickpeas well.
  4. Lay them on a cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Shake pan a few times to cook them evenly. They will be golden brown to dark brown and crunchy when done. Enjoy!
